The global digital infrastructure industry is entering a historic growth cycle. According to Kezhi Consulting (www.kzconsulting.cn), the global AI data center market is projected to grow from USD 471.6 billion in 2026 to USD 2.02 trillion by 2032, representing a compound annual growth rate of 27.5%. China’s market is expanding just as rapidly: the country’s intelligent computing capacity is expected to reach 1,037 EFLOPS in 2025, while annual investment in intelligent computing centers has surpassed RMB 100 billion.

Against the backdrop of China’s strategy to “moderately advance the construction of digital infrastructure” and the continued rollout of the East Data, West Computing program, DITExpo 2026 is arriving at exactly the right moment. Organized by the DITExpo Organizing Committee and co-organized by IDCquan, Digital Kaiwu and IDCNOVA, the event aims to become the industry’s most valuable full-chain business and partnership platform.

Exhibition Focus: 1+3+N+X

DITExpo 2026 = one full-industry-chain platform spanning two halls and four zones + three major industry conferences and a series of professional events + eight supporting activities + five content programs + six communications channels + X exhibitors recruited from around the world. From the energy foundation to AI applications, the entire industry chain is covered in one stop.

Three Industry Cycles Are Converging — and the Timing Could Not Be Better

First: a surge in demand for compute. The global AI data center market is expanding at a 27.5% CAGR, while the AI inference infrastructure market is projected to grow from USD 22.8 billion to USD 230 billion within a decade. China’s intelligent computing capacity is growing at a five-year CAGR of 46.2%, and the intelligent computing services market at an even faster 57.3%. In 2024, China’s AI server market reached USD 19 billion, up 86.9% year on year. Alibaba Cloud has announced more than RMB 380 billion in AI infrastructure investment over the next three years, while global technology giants are increasing annual AI capital expenditure by 35%–40%. Demand for compute is expanding at an unprecedented pace.

Second: a window for policy and institutional innovation. In February 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially launched the “1+M+N” national computing interconnection node system, marking China’s transition from building isolated hubs to linking them into a national network. Intelligent computing now accounts for 80.8% of capacity across the eight national East Data, West Computing hubs, with intelligent computing capacity reaching 174 EFLOPS. More than 20 provinces and municipalities have introduced computing voucher programs, while the concept of a “computing power bank” is moving into the industry mainstream. China’s computing leasing market reached RMB 68 billion in the first quarter of 2026, and the country’s AI-related industries are expected to exceed RMB 10 trillion by the end of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Policy innovation is injecting unprecedented momentum into the sector.

Third: a reshaping of the industry landscape. The computing leasing market is undergoing a deep shakeout, moving from asset-light subleasing toward asset-heavy self-built capacity. Domestic chip supply and technological autonomy have become central issues, while coordination between computing and power systems is emerging as a strategic direction for new infrastructure. China now has more than nine million standard racks in operation, representing a seven-year CAGR of 23.35%. The industry is shifting from “scale first” to “quality and efficiency first” — a fundamental change in its development model.

The convergence of these three cycles sends one clear signal: China’s digital infrastructure industry needs an efficient, professional, end-to-end platform for business matching more than ever. DITExpo 2026 was created for exactly that purpose.
